Do you have teaching qualifications? Do you have lots of steady, predictable, push-button horses and ponies of various different sizes and abilities? Have you researched the market? Do you have insurance?

Plenty of quality teaching yards have gone out of business in recent years due to the rocketing costs of insurance, feed, and other bills. They've had business plans and have been on the go, with top level instructors, for many many years.

Just having a horse or two does not qualify you to set up as a riding school. I'd give it serious thought, if I were you.

that is a loaded question, so many expenses and licensing issues. Insurance would probably be your single biggest expense, then advertising, then licensing (getting things to code) etc.

can't give you a number but if you look up "business plans" online you can get a good idea of what you need to do and how much things will cost you.

good luck
