  2. wannabarrelrace says:

its not a girth its a back cinch.

  3. Trienke69 says:

I agree that its not only the rein thats loose, How dangerous to have a girth so slack, Also i feel that less yack and more concentration on what the horse and rider are actually doing wouldn’t go a miss, How can you teach when your not looking at what the rider and horse are doing, Thats how bad habits are missed and not rectified.
I do however understand what is trying to be achieved here, but i just wish people would stop being complacent when it comes to safety.

The rider is not a good example

aaahh ive never herd of one of them…so thankks :) x

  11. 6LaChica6 says:

I think the girth you mean is the back cinch. It’s a second girth you use in rodeo or roping to prevent the saddle from tipping up in the rear part. This type of girth is not pulled tight as otherwise the horse could buck or feel uncomfortable.

Naturally a front girth is used keep the saddle in its place. The horse in this video has a front girth too.

  12. neverletgo1912 says:

oh my gosh, did you see her girth strap underneath…how has that saddle not slipped off?
